The food is delicious, the menu is limited but for good reason, because this establishment delivers so well on what they offer. They are affordable, and quicker than any fast food restaurant. You can sit down, order, and eat within a 20 minute time frame if you need a quick lunch, and you won't find a better spot in town. Their establishment is small but their speed makes up for it. I have never had to wait for a seat in 20 years, and I have had a good meal every single visit, and they now accept credit/debit cards! But most importantly, the staff is incredibly friendly and I enjoy their cordiality and hospitality immensely. You will be shown the respect you've given, and these good people deserve respect for their hard work serving delicious food. Enjoy.
I have been to this lovely establishment several times, and I must recommend eating at the bar, which is from the 1940s. I adore the older, unchanged style of this place. And I love that they have stayed true to themselves this entire time. Their menu hasn’t changed much or at all over the years. While they are not changing the culinary world with their food, they do offer a delicious and cheap lunch for those who are willing to traverse into this hole-in-the-wall establishment. I would also recommend the cheese burgers, they are as good if not better than their hotdogs!
This is a quaint walk back in time. A small lunch counter atmosphere with quick, simple food and great service. The hotdog was good, but the double cheeseburger is perhaps the best cheeseburger I’ve ever eaten. Don’t load the burger up with toppings... the plain meat and cheese was delicious! This was our first visit, but it won’t be the last. It’s a small space and it was very busy when we arrived... we almost left, but a table opened up. It was ABSOLUTELY worth the wait. (I usually have pics of our food for my reviews, but we ate everything before I remembered!)
New to North Carolina and have been having a hard time with the food selection and how it sits with me after. This is by far the best food i have had since i moved here in Aug of last year. Staff was friendly and very attentive. Atmosphere was cheery and very relaxing. I order the cheeseburger and French fry... so fresh and very seasoned. Definitely giving family cook out vibes. I will definitely be visiting again. Reasonably priced for fresh ingredients.
The Dog House bring back memories of going to small Mom & Pop dinners as a kid. The place is small but the food is good and quick. I had a great cheeseburger and fries and definitely will be back!

Awesome vintage style restaurant that specializes in hotdogs and hamburgers. The price is fantastic and they truly have high quality food, the kids and wife loved it! I definitely recommend stopping here for lunch if you're in High Point!! 10/10
This historic luncheonette has been serving delicious food for over 50 years, and the staff feels like family. I loved the all-the-way hot dog with onions, mustard, and chili, along with their bologna cheese sandwich and cheeseburger—everything was fantastic! The place is really nice and cozy.
